On Thursday 3 October 2019, Lambert Chapman LLP – under the usual guise of Don Pablo’s Animals – entered a team into a Charity Quiz which was organised by Edmund Carr and NatWest Corporate & Commercial.

The quiz was being held in order to raise funds for Havens Hospice and a speech by one of the beneficiaries of the Charity’s work during the evening really demonstrated what valuable work they do.

The quiz consisted of 40 questions – over a range of subjects – in the first half, followed by a picture round and musical intros in the second half following the food break.

The Lambert Chapman team was made up of Paul Short, Richard Hamilton, Mike Carabine (AKA Michael McDonald, according to the quiz master), Grant Cook, Callum O’Keeffe and Dan McIntyre.

The quiz included questions about television, music, sport, history and geography and the team were in contention throughout the evening.

However a few missed opportunities, particularly in some of the multi-answer questions, cost the team first place and they had to settle for the runner-up position.

Our thanks go to the staff at Edmund Carr for organising the event and NatWest for their support and we are pleased to announce that the event raised £4,500 for Havens Hospice.

The team look forward to an invite to the next quiz and hope to go one better!
