In an era where we are told that obtaining testimonials from clients is important so that we can share them on our websites and social media, it is very satisfying to receive one which has not actually been requested from a grateful client.
Such an event happened to me recently (an increasingly rare event when everybody these days seems to be rushing around and has no time for anything), and even more pleasing as it related to a Corporate Finance transaction, i.e. the sale of a client’s company. Now we all know this can be a stressful period when you are trying to run your own company and at the same time sell your ‘little baby’, something that many clients will only do once in their working life.
What was particularly pleasing was the gratitude of the client was extended to the whole team, not just those that worked on the deal but also the support staff including the receptionists and telephonists, who “have been of the highest calibre”. As I say, most satisfying and something that I hope may be repeated in the coming years.
