Charity of the Year 2018/19: Helen Rollason Cancer Charity

Helen Rollason Cancer Charity

We are delighted to announce that our staff have chosen the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity as our charity partner for 2018/19.

Kate Alden, Fundraising Manager at Helen Rollason Cancer Charity said;

“We are so pleased that Lambert Chapman LLP have chosen us as their charity for the next financial year – fantastic! As a local charity supporting local people, we are so grateful to receive support from local businesses, such as Lambert Chapman LLP.

Helen Rollason Cancer Charity works with both large and small businesses alike and we always welcome the opportunity to establish new corporate relationships. By partnering with our charity and becoming a corporate supporter, businesses have the opportunity to promote their brand via the charity and receive marketing and promotional benefits in return.

Myself and the fundraising team are all really looking forward to working with Lambert Chapman LLP, which will help us to continue enabling quality of life while living with cancer.”

Helen Rollason Cancer Charity is dedicated to supporting people whose lives are touched by cancer. Their support centres in Essex, London and Hertfordshire are vital in helping people living with cancer. The centres offer a range of complementary therapies to patients in an environment of peace and tranquility, including counselling, reflexology, aromatherapy, manual lymphatic drainage and support groups, with no charge for these services. The centres are for patients with all types of cancer at all stages, whether newly diagnosed or longer term, throughout and after completion of treatment.

Founded in 1999, the charity is the legacy of BBC broadcaster Helen Rollason, whose vision was:

“Good quality of life while coping with cancer is the most important gift a sick person can receive. It should be available to everyone.”

Providing support for cancer patients’ emotional well-being alongside their medical treatment continues to be at the core of the charity’s mission. They also support research and clinical drugs trials relating to cancer with an annual grant made to Broomfield Hospital and The North Middlesex Hospital.

We have lots of fundraising activities planned for the year ahead, including the return of our popular quiz night in the Autumn.
