Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tax Senior to join our team.  This role is within the Tax department of the Practice that provides accounting services to our clients.

Requirements for the Tax Senior:

  • 5+ years practice experience
  • CTA/ACCA Qualified
  • Personal Tax Experience
  • Proficient at Tax Return Preparation for a range of clients
  • Act with due care and attention and ensure confidentiality is applied at all times
  • Commitment to learning new skills to develop your knowledge
  • Ability to listen and follow instructions
  • Work well within a team environment
  • Provide encouragement and empathy when training tax assistants
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external parties

Responsibilities for the Tax Senior:

  • To review tax returns prepared by tax team staff.
  • To prepare complex tax returns for review by Tax Manager.
  • To liaise with partners on tax portfolio and status of returns.
  • To ensure compliance deadlines are met and identify methods to achieve this.
  • To deal with general correspondence from the Revenue, and from clients.
  • To provide feedback to assistant team members upon review of their work.
  • To identify training needs.
  • To be prepared to take on additional tasks to meet deadlines.
  • To maintain technical knowledge.
  • To prepare standard letters and documentation for use by members of the tax team.
  • To delegate work to the appropriate support members of the team.
  • To train and develop other team members.
  • To carry out any other duty which may be required in line with business requirements.
  • To adhere to the Firm’s Health & Safety Policy at all times.
