Nigel Whittle is a local man, having been born in Chelmsford and educated at the Chelmsford Technical High School. Nigel trained with a London practice, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983 and joined the Chelmsford office of Lambert Chapman before opening the Braintree office in August 1986. He subsequently became a partner of the firm in 1987.

Nigel has experience across a broad spread of Clients, a number of which are in the City of London. He also leads the Firm's Corporate Finance function and has been awarded the Institute of Chartered Accountants CF letters. As past Chairman of the Braintree Chamber of Trade and Commerce he was instrumental in successfully bidding for the funding of Business Link Essex. He also has experience from being a Governor to a local school.
