Lambert Chapman LLP win Charity Quiz

On 3 March 2010, Lambert Chapman LLP entered a team into the Annual Charity Quiz organised by South Essex Society of Chartered Accountants which was held at the Mount Avenue Banqueting Suite in Hutton.

There were ten rounds with subjects including Business, History, Music, Famous People and Current Affairs and also a Marathon Round. The Marathon Round required us to identify famous landmarks from aerial pictures and also identify famous people from only the top or bottom half of their face which was ‘matched’ to the other half of another celebrity’s face.

The team started well, scoring 74 from the first 80 points available. However, the Art & Literature proved to be difficult with a score of just 13 out of 20. Although we did well on later rounds, it was hard to work out our true position as we left the Joker until the last available round which was Geography.

A score of just 12 out of 20, doubled to 24, meant that it was a close finish, but Lambert Chapman LLP managed to win by one point from Goldwyns.

We were very pleased to receive the Michael Lambert Cup, particularly as we donated the trophy several years ago in honour of one of our founding Partners.

The whole team (Nick Forsyth, Paul Short, Chris Harman, Mike Carabine, Richard Hamilton and Lee Sutton) enjoyed the evening and look forward to defending the trophy next year.
