Fantasy Football Manager of the Month - December 2009

Our Manager of the Month for December 2009 is Paul Gardener, Manager of The Good, The Bad and the Tevez. His team scored 328 points during the month and the main contributions to this total were from Tevez, Dunne, Rooney and Hart.Paul Gardener

Also doing well were Chelmsford Wanderers and Malc’s Marauders, managed by Carolyn Hamilton and Malcolm Stephenson. These managers got the right names on the team sheet and their stars of the month were Vermaelen, Milner, Hangeland, Drogba, Zamora and Tevez.

We caught up with Paul to ask for his thoughts on all things football - here is what he had to offer:

How long have you been playing Fantasy Football for or is this beginners luck?

I’ve been entering Fantasy Football teams for a number of years now, both online and with Lambert Chapman, but at the end of the day it’s all down to luck!!

Are you doing as well in other leagues you have entered?

I’m current 8,386th with The Sun dream team. (that’s better than last year).

What was the basis for picking your side and who is in it?

To be honest, I can’t remember who’s in my team, but I’m sure I looked at Lisa Potter's team and then did the opposite!!

What’s the story behind the team name?

The team consists of good and bad players!!

Who do you support?

West Ham United

Who did you think will win the Premiership?

Man United

We all remember our first professional game. What was yours and who scored the goals?

West Ham v Wimbledon – Frank McAvennie & Tony Cottee got the goals in a 3-2 defeat.

If you could go to any game what would it be?

I’d like to watch the champions league draw Man Utd v AC Milan (the return of Becks)
