Fantasy Football - Manager of the Month - November 2009

Our Manager of the Month for November 2009 is our very own Dan Drake, Manager of The Mighty Ducks. His team scored 201 points during the month and the main contributions to this total were from Rooney, Drogba and Defoe.FF Mom - Dan Drake

Also doing well were Banno Spartak and CM United, managed by Tony Bannister and Chris Maher. These managers got the right names on the team sheet and their stars of the month were Essien, Defoe, Bullard, Rooney, and Drogba.

We caught up with Dan to ask for his thoughts on all things football - here is what he had to offer:

How long have you been playing Fantasy Football for or is this beginners luck?

This is my first year and, so far, it is complete beginner’s luck.

Are you doing as well in other leagues you have entered?

I have not entered into any other competitions.

What was the basis for picking your side and who is in it?

I did some transfers early on and put most of my money on the top three strikers who helped with the score this month.

What’s the story behind the team name?

It is just a play on my surname plus a cheesy film title from the 1990’s.

Who do you support?

Arsenal.

Who did you think will win the Premiership?

It will more than likely be Chelsea.

We all remember our first professional game. What was yours and who scored the goals?

I saw the last match at the old Wembley Stadium in 2002, England v Germany, where Germany won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Hamann.

If you could go to any game what would it be?

It would have to be the World Cup Final.

Good luck for the rest of the season, Dan.
