Fantasy Football Manager of the Month - October 2009

Our Manager of the Month for October 2009 is Sally Grant, Manager of Hullabaloo Unathletic. Her team scored 244 points during the month and the main contributions to this total were from A Faye, Lampard and Van Persie.

Also doing well were Hammerex and Stridey’s Superstars, managed by Mike Carabine and Andy Stride. These managers got the right names on the team sheet and their stars of the month were James, Terry, Lampard, Arshavin and Drogba.

We caught up with Sally to ask for her thoughts on all things football - here is what she had to offer:

How long have you been playing Fantasy Football for or is this beginners luck?

This is our first season but I wouldn’t say it’s beginners luck, we’ve studied the form very hard (mostly “have they got nice legs”).  Hopefully our total lack of interest in anything football other than statistics won’t be held against us.

Are you doing as well in other leagues you have entered?

We aren’t in any other leagues.

What was the basis for picking your side and who is in it?

We had to have Lampard and Torres but other than that no set formula (Just not
Manchester United)

What’s the story behind the team name?

Hullabaloo is from an album we both like and Unathletic because we are.

Who do you support?

We don’t really like watching football but the atmosphere in our house seems to be better when West Ham win. (It’s bloody miserable at the moment!)

Who did you think will win the Premiership?

Probably Chelsea

We all remember our first professional game. What was yours and who scored the goals?

Never been to a football game!

If you could go to any game what would it be?

Well we wouldn’t really want to go anywhere but we could send Martyn to Brazil to the Maracana and that would leave us ample time to go shopping!
