Lambert Chapman has operated a payroll bureau for over 10 years and currently manages the payrolls of over 200 businesses of varying sizes and is responsible for the calculation of wages for over 2,500 employees. Our in-house team are experienced payroll processors who are continually improving their knowledge in current processing techniques and PAYE legislation. We have invested in a software package specifically designed for payroll bureaux 'Star Professional' which streamlines the process and by using the advanced reporting options allows us to provide our clients with specific reports to manage their business.

We believe that our service is efficient and cost effective and we constantly assess our service to ensure that quality is maintained. To complement the service we provide, a named payroll processor is assigned to each payroll to ensure that queries or problems are sorted quickly and efficiently.

WHY OUTSOURCE?

Outsourcing is the allocation of a business process to an external service provider who then becomes responsible for the day-to-day running and maintenance of the delegated process.

To maximise efficiency, it is good practice to liaise closely with the service provider on a regular basis to prevent issues arising due to the lack of understanding and communication between the two parties.   3. CIS scheme compliance undertaken including on-line filing of respective forms

  4. Records maintained for all staff for PAYE inspection purposes including leavers

  5. Every employee is provided with a detailed security payslip

  6. Notification of the PAYE liability on a monthly/quarterly basis. Payment of liability to Revenue dealt with.

  7. Expenses, loans and attachment of earnings deductions dealt with and controlled.

  8. Reports designed to meet your specific requirements.

  9. Pension scheme contributions monitored

  10. Process and submit P45's and P46's to the Inland Revenue.

  11. Produce and submit bank submission reports by the due date.

  12. Complete the year-end P35 annual return and P14's for submission to the Inland Revenue on-line including processing.

  13. Produce annual P60's for distribution to staff.

  14. Deal with PAYE inspections and liaise with HM Revenue and Customs and DSS as required

Jacqui joined us in Autumn 2004 and is responsible for the day to day management of the payroll bureau. She is qualified under the Institute of Pensions and Payroll Management and has many years experience in payroll processing. She has developed a strong working relationship with many of her clients who are more than happy to recommend the services of the department.

Carrol Powell

Carrol Powell Credit Control and Payroll Assistant 

Carrol has been working in our administration office for a number of years predominently as a credit controller for the Braintree Office. Having developed Payroll Bureau experience prior to joining the Firm Carrol assists the department in providing holiday and sickness cover and processes a large scheme for us each week and month. We also have a number of our accounts clerks trained in the delivery of Payroll and processing small payrolls within the Bureau to enable them to offer holiday and sickness cover. This ensures that we are able to provide the quality and continuity of service required for the size of Bureau operated by Lambert Chapman.

To ensure continuity of payroll cover for our clients Lambert Chapman also has several Accounts clerks fully trained in the operation of the payroll software and processes to ensure holiday and sickness cover is never an issue.
